Jack Dorsey's Homescreen Reveals Something Interesting about His Relationship with Snapchat

First thing you might notice is that the Twitter & Square CEO has a custom employee-only aegoen-blue Twitter icon. What's even more interesting though is that Snapchat icon resides proudly next to Mail and Slack apps, with no Facebook or Instagram in sight.
An early adopter
Jack is a long time Snapchat fan. In his tweet posted on 5th June 2013, Dorsey characterized Snapchat as 'really good' and said that it "gets closer to the essence of what's so great about the service". Jack hasn't tweeted about Snapchat since while the company introduced dozens of new features and became one of the most engaged platforms for young people.
Jack has also shared his thoughts about Snapchat at Code Conference 2016 in June last year and said: "I think [Snapchat's] very modern. It's recognizing that we're going to press buttons less and gesture more" while calling Twitter "confusing".
The biggest fan
Okay, maybe not necessarily "the biggest fan", but definitely more than just a user. Business Insider previously reported that it's Jack Dorsey whom Snapchat owes for inventing Snapcash. As a result of an email exchange between Jack and Snapchat CEO Evan Spiegel Snapcash, a feature that allows users to send money to each other in the app, was born and introduced in November 2014.
Jack's homescreen shared by Product Hunt and his history with Snapchat shows that he's been watching the company closely, joining Facebook, Medium and Apple who don't shy away from the fact that Snapchat is onto something important with its engaging and fun Stories format. Will Twitter be adopting these and will it make the company's future brighter? Time will tell.
